Becoming a seller
Any registered Bangladeshi business may apply. To be approved you must submit:
- A valid trade licence
- The owner's NID (front and back)
- A bank account or bKash merchant number in the business name
- Your TIN, where your turnover requires one
Applications are reviewed within 3 working days. Until you are approved your shop stays in Pending and your products are not visible to shoppers.
Commission
Gulu Mulu charges a commission on the item value only — never on the delivery fee. The rate is agreed with you at onboarding and typically sits between 8% and 15%, depending on category and volume. It is shown on every order line in your dashboard, frozen at the moment of purchase, so a later rate change never rewrites your history.
Payouts
- Payouts run on a weekly cycle, closing Thursday midnight.
- Earnings become payable 7 days after an order is marked Delivered — this covers the return window.
- Money is sent to your registered bank account or bKash merchant number. Payouts appear in your dashboard as Pending, then Processing, then Paid, with a reference number.
What you must do
- Dispatch within 1 working day of order confirmation.
- Describe products honestly. Photographs must be of the actual product you will ship.
- Never contact a customer for off-platform payment. This is grounds for immediate termination.
- Accept returns that fall within the marketplace Return & Refund Policy.
Performance
We track cancellation rate, late-dispatch rate and return rate. Persistently poor metrics lead to reduced search visibility, then suspension. Counterfeit goods lead to immediate permanent removal and forfeiture of any pending payout.
